What it is
The AAdvantage Platinum Select is a Citi card earning American AAdvantage miles. For most, its value is mostly up front in the welcome bonus rather than ongoing perks. American Airlines cobrand for occasional AA flyers: a free first checked bag on domestic AA itineraries for you and up to four companions on the same reservation, plus preferred boarding. The annual fee is waived the first year.
