What it is
The Delta SkyMiles Gold is an American Express card earning Delta SkyMiles. For most, its value is mostly up front in the welcome bonus rather than ongoing perks. Delta's entry card — a free first (and now second) checked bag plus priority boarding pay for the fee if you fly Delta a few times a year. Ongoing value is thin once the fee starts; often held as a downgrade landing spot, or opened mainly for the welcome bonus.
